Dr. Adeduntan explained that the Firstmoni initiative has breached the gap between the tech savvy and the low literacy clients as the agent network presents a convenient alternative to customers not familiar with sophisticated digital channels.

The Deputy Managing Director of First Bank, Francis Shobo, underscored the critical role of the agents in the banking ecosystem with regards to taking deposits, making payments, opening accounts, providing transfers and selling airtime at locations among other functions.

The grand prize winner, Hassan Ishaq,  was full of gratitude for the award.

“I want to thank FirstBank for this gesture, it took me by surprise because I never expected it from them, this is a miracle FirstBank is truly different.” He said.
