The Federal Government of Nigeria is ready to reopen all land borders closed in 2019.
The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, disclosed this to newsmen at a forum in Abuja.
Ahmed said the presidential committee set up to review the borders closure has completed its assignment and recommended that they be reopened.

She said the committee would soon submit its report to the Presidency after which a formal declaration would be made on the matter.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari approved the closure of the borders in October last year as part of measures to prevent smuggling of goods and arms into the country.
