The world’s largest airplane maker, Boeing, has fired the chief executive officer of its commercial division, Kevin McAllister, following recent crashes of 737 MAX jets.
McAllister was considered an outsider by staff of the airplane company as he was not previously an employee of Boing before his appointment as CEO.
Boing has been going through tough times since it’s 737 Max was placed on eight-month safety ban, by industry regulator, Federal Aviation Administration, in the aftermath of fatal crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia which claimed 346 lives.
Meanwhile, the company has appointed one of its experienced executives, Stan Deal, to immediately takeover from McAllister as the president and chief executive of Boeing Commercial Airplanes division.
Before his appointment, Deal was the top executive of Boeing’s Global Services division.
