The Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc, Nigeria’s capital market infrastructure, has been decorated with the Company of the Year award at the eight edition of the highly acclaimed Banks’ and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards 2020.
The BAFI Awards, which adopt an audit-based approach in the evaluation process, are adjudged the most rigorous, prestigious and transparent in Nigeria’s financial services industry.
In a statement, CSCS said following the Judges’ decision, after a rigorous and diligent process, the Divisional Head Shared Services, Onome Komolafe, who represented the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of CSCS, Haruna Jalo-Waziri, at the event held in Lagos, received the award on behalf of the company,.
“This award strengthens the self-motivation to sustainably enhance our delivery of excellent services to all market participants. We are driven by the kaizen philosophy of always doing better, as we continue to seek innovative ways of creating and delivering value for all market participants and ultimately the growing investors in the Nigerian capital market.” Komolafe said.

The BAFI Awards celebrate organizations, teams and individuals who have achieved excellence in the delivery of financial services across the entire customer spectrum.
The CSCS is a Public Limited Company, with a diversified shareholder base, including the Nigerian Stock Exchange, serving as the Central Securities Depository for the Nigerian Capital Market.
