NASENI, Nasarawa State and Bob Motors Ltd Join Forces to Establish Zonal Tractor Manufacturing Plant

NASENI, the Nasarawa State government, and Bob Track Tractors, a division of Bob Motors Ltd, have joined forces to establish a Zonal Tractor Manufacturing Plant in the north-central geo-political zone.

The collaboration will utilize the facilities and infrastructure at NASENI’s Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Development Institute (AMEDI) in Lafia, Nasarawa state for the assembling and manufacturing of tractors.

The project, aimed at creating wealth and job opportunities for Nigerian youths, aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda of ensuring food security and promoting mechanized farming and agro-business in the country.

Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of NASENI, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, expressed readiness to partner with Governor Abdulahi Sule and Bob Track Tractors, signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to kickstart the initiative.

Governor Sule emphasized the importance of collaborating and promoting made-in-Nigeria goods, providing a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.

The objective of the visit was to introduce Bob Track Tractors, a company specializing in assembling and manufacturing tractors and farm implements, to NASENI.

The CEO of Bob Track Tractors, Ibifiri Bob Manuel, expressed readiness to utilize the existing facilities at AMEDI, Lafia to create employment opportunities and drive the mechanized agricultural vision of the present administration.

The partnership between NASENI, Nasarawa State, and Bob Motors Ltd aims to boost local manufacturing, create jobs, and contribute to the growth of the agricultural sector in Nigeria.
