The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Wednesday hosted a delegation from the Telecommunications Regulatory Board (ART) of the Republic of Cameroon at its headquarters in Abuja as part of a benchmarking and knowledge-sharing exercise aimed at strengthening regional telecommunications regulation.
The visiting delegation was led by the Director General of ART Cameroon, Philemon Zoo Zame, who was received by the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the NCC, Aminu Maida.
The engagement focused on the exchange of regulatory experiences, best practices, and collaborative strategies to enhance telecommunications governance and digital connectivity across the West and Central African sub-region.
Officials of both regulatory agencies discussed key issues affecting the telecommunications sector, including digital transformation, consumer protection, spectrum management, infrastructure development, and emerging technologies.
The benchmarking exercise underscores the growing cooperation among African telecom regulators in promoting innovation, improving service delivery, and advancing regional integration within the ICT sector.
