2023 Elections: Former Delta State Governor Ibori Attends PDP Women Event In Mosogar

By Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq.

Former governor of Delta State, James Onanefe Ibori, was recently spotted at a special solidarity event of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women groups in Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state.

The event which was hosted by the Senatorial candidate of, PDP, for the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ighoyota Amori, attracted women groups that pledged their loyalty and block vote to Amori and all candidates of PDP.

The national leader and former governor of the state got a standing ovation on his arrival, and went on to greet the women numbering over two hundred before engaging Amori on a private discussion.

The duo are political associates spanning nearly three decades and counting. Amori is widely known to be the second in command of Ibori Political Dynasty (IPD).

Although Ibori did not make any political statement, gladiators saw his presence at the home of Amori at a time he was hosting PDP women in the LGA, as a pointer to the fact that the former governor is likely to make positive political statements before the presidential and national assembly elections on February 25, more so as his biological daughter, Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu is on the 2023 ballot.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed as the former Governor navigates through the political terrain in the coming days to the general elections.
