Vice President Shettima Calls for Stronger Collaboration Among MDAs to Enhance Nigeria’s Business Environment

Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of government and members of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) to deepen collaboration to foster a more conducive business environment in Nigeria.

Speaking at the closing session of the PEBEC Retreat for heads of MDAs and MDA Reform Champions in Abuja, Shettima emphasized the need for synergy among government agencies to solve complex problems.

“The business of government is too complex to be solved in silos. We cannot afford the luxury of working in isolation, while the problems we are tasked to solve are increasingly intertwined,” he said.

The Vice President’s call aims to ensure Nigeria remains a preferred destination for investors. The retreat, attended by the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, provided a platform for peer review and constructive engagement among Federal Government appointees to improve institutional performance and reform delivery.

Shettima’s emphasis on collaboration highlights the importance of a unified approach to addressing Nigeria’s business environment challenges and promoting economic growth.
