SUPERNEWS Appoints NCC Boss, Aminu Maida, to Chair SMEs Confab on June 13th

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Executive Vice Chairman, Dr. Aminu Maida, has been selected to chair the SUPERNEWS Nigeria SMEs conference set to take place on June 13, 2024, at Radisson Hotel in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, starting at 10 am.

In a statement released by SUPERNEWS Nigeria Publisher, Ngozi Onyeakusi, the decision to appoint Aminu Maida as Chairman reflects the Commission’s dedication to establishing a robust and trustworthy regulatory framework that will promote positive outcomes in the Federal Government’s financial inclusion policy which is crucial for the Nigerian economy and financial stability.

Aminu Maida holds an MEng in Information Systems Engineering from Imperial College, London (2002) and a PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Bath, United Kingdom (2006).

He also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (FinTech Pathway) at the Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, between 2018 and 2019.

The conference will bring together regulators, key stakeholders in the financial services and ICT sectors, small business owners, and other relevant parties.

Dr. Biodun Adedipe, Founder and Chief Consultant of B. Adedipe & Associates Limited, will deliver the keynote speech on the theme ‘Bringing SMEs into the Financial Services Network via Fintech.’

The Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) will officially open the event.
