The Sterling One Foundation and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) have announced a strategic partnership to host the Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) 2024.

The event, scheduled for July 25-26, 2024, in Lagos, Nigeria, aims to foster private sector participation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa.

The summit will focus on identifying strategies to mitigate risks in investment opportunities, drive policy-influencing conversations, and foster effective partnerships for sustainable growth.

Private sector involvement is crucial in driving social impact, given their funding capacities and ability to champion responsible consumption.

Afreximbank, the continent’s leading multilateral financial institution, will bring its expertise in financing and promoting intra- and extra-African trade to the summit.

The bank has been at the forefront of driving economic development initiatives across Africa, including the Intra-African Trade Fair and the African Medical Centre of Excellence.

The Africa Social Impact Summit, now in its third year, will feature panel discussions on climate action, healthcare, education, youth development, and green financing.

The event will also include a pre-event Investors’ Roundtable and a Deal Room for impact-focused SME entrepreneurs.

The partnership between Sterling One Foundation and Afreximbank demonstrates their commitment to achieving the SDGs in Africa.

The summit promises to be a valuable platform for leaders from various sectors to share ideas and plans for accelerating sustainable development in Africa.
