Segun Alabi has been appointed as the new Assistant Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications at the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), the leading advocacy voice for manufacturers in Nigeria.
In a statement, MAN’s Director General/Chief Executive Officer, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, expressed his confidence in Alabi’s abilities.
He described Alabi as a talented Corporate Affairs professional with extensive experience in various sectors, including Pay TV, Finance, Real Estate, Business Membership Organizations, and Manufacturing.
Ajayi-Kadir said Alabi’s appointment will bring added value to the Association as they continue to advocate for manufacturers’ interests and build partnerships with key stakeholders in the government, private sector, communities, and beyond to contribute to the growth of the Nigerian economy.
Before joining MAN, Alabi served as the Head of Corporate Affairs and Programs at the Chartered Institute of Directors Nigeria (CIoD Nigeria), overseeing all corporate affairs, communications, and programs functions.
Ajayi-Kadir emphasized Alabi’s expertise in Reputation Management, Government Relations, CSR Management, Stakeholder Management, Public Policy Advocacy, and social media management, stating that his skills in corporate communications and strategic information dissemination will be a valuable asset to MAN.
Alabi expressed his excitement about joining MAN, describing it as a dream come true for him. He acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence in his ability to contribute to the organisation’s success.
With a Ph.D. in English from the University of Lagos, specializing in Language Use and Communication, Alabi’s background and skills make him a perfect fit for his new role at MAN.
