A foremost Pan African business tycoon and social entrepreneur, Dr. Nnaeto Orazulike has been conferred with a national honour in the rank of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) by the president, Muhammadu Buhari at the 2022 National Honours Award investiture ceremony which held in Abuja on Wednesday.
The honour is in recognition of Dr. Orazulike’s selfless service to humanity and contributions to the growth of the country. Speaking at the award ceremony, President Buhari listed the criteria for the award to include consistent and meaningful participation in community and/or national development.
He also listed remarkable achievement in any field of expertise where the person’s activities in that field has made significant contributions to the attainment of national goals and objectives.
Dr. Orazulike, who is a Non-Executive Director of Ecobank Nigeria, having been appointed in April 2022, is the founder and Group Managing Director of Genesis Group, a proudly Nigerian conglomerate with interests in Restaurants, Cinemas, Hotels, food production and Oil and Gas services.
He is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree and an alumnus of Havard Business School Executive Training Program. He was awarded the prestigious Honorary Doctor of Science degree by the University of Port Harcourt in 2015.
In 2021, Dr. Orazulike won the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) 60- anniversary awards for his exemplary role in the entertainment and hospitality sector. He has won many awards at national and state levels.
