The Rising Golfers Challenge 2025 took place at the Lakowe Golf Course in Lagos over the weekend, with Luke Anele, a retired General Manager from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), emerging as the winner.
Anele, playing off a handicap of 21, scored a +4 net score to claim the top spot. Wilson Egberipou, an Assistant Director at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), came in second with a net score of 6 over the course par.
In the guest category, Bayo Alli of Lakowe Lakes took home the top prize.
Other notable participants in the annual golf event included Eniola Bello, Managing Director of Thisday Newspapers; Ogbueshi Isichei Osamgbi, Director of Administration at NIMASA; and Magnus Ibe, Deputy Managing Director of Bourbon Interoil Nigeria Ltd.
