Relief for Oyo Civil Servants as Government Cancels N4,000 Retirement Form Fee

In a move aimed at alleviating financial burdens on civil servants, the Oyo State Government has cancelled the collection of N4,000 administrative fee for retirees.

This development was made public through a statement issued by the Commissioner for Establishments and Training, Olusegun Olayiwola, who cited Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to enhancing retirees’ welfare.

Prior to this cancellation, retirees were required to pay N4,000 to access the retirement form at the Ministry of Establishments and Training.

However, with the Governor’s directive, an electronic form has been designed online at no cost to retirees.

This decision reflects the Governor’s efforts to prioritize retirees’ well-being and reduce financial stress on them.

In addition to the cancellation of the retirement form fee, Governor Makinde’s administration has also increased the gratuity payment to N500 million monthly, up from the previous N250 million.

This increase has resulted in a higher number of retirees receiving their gratuity monthly, seamlessly and problem-free.

The abolition of the retirement form fee is a significant step towards reducing financial stress on retirees.

It also underscores the government’s dedication to streamlining processes and eliminating unnecessary costs.

Furthermore, the Oyo State Government has initiated e-payment of gratuity benefits, which provides a seamless and secure transaction process for retirees.

The Permanent Secretary, Olajide Okesade, has expressed appreciation for the abolishment of the retirement form fee, stating that it lessens financial bondage on retirees and demonstrates genuine concern for their welfare.

This development is a welcome relief for civil servants in Oyo State, who will no longer have to bear the financial burden of paying for the retirement form.

It is also a testament to the government’s commitment to enhancing the welfare of retirees and promoting their well-being.

The Oyo State Government’s decision to cancel the retirement form fee is a positive step towards reducing financial stress on retirees.

It is expected that this move will have a significant impact on the lives of retirees in the state, and will contribute to the overall well-being of civil servants.
