The Oyo State College of Nursing Sciences, Eleyele, Ibadan, is set to begin awarding degree programs soon.
The Provost of the College, Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi, disclosed this during a donation ceremony of a 110-inch interactive electronic board and projector by the Set X (1979-1982) alumni.
Dr. Owolabi stated that the institution is affiliating with Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) to provide a platform for students to pursue bachelor and master’s degrees.
This development will enable students to reach the pinnacle of their careers right from the college.
The college has received approval to run faculties, and more programs will be offered after full accreditation by relevant regulatory bodies.
The Provost emphasized the college’s commitment to theoretical and practical training, as well as skills development.
The donation ceremony also featured the commissioning of an industrial borehole donated by the 1985 set of the college.
The Provost commended the alumni for their noble initiative, stating that it will contribute significantly to educational development in the state.
The college aims to maintain its position as the premier nursing institution in Nigeria, and the Provost urged the ex-students not to relent in their efforts at giving back to the college.
