The Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, assured the House of Representatives Committee on NASENI that the Agency’s commercial products are ready for the market and have been certified by SON.
During the oversight visit to NASENI’s Headquarters in Abuja, Halilu showcased the Agency’s products and projects in various sectors such as Defense/Security, Agriculture, and Infrastructure.
The recently unveiled NASENI products include laptops, smartphones, lithium batteries, solar street lights, irrigation systems, electric bicycles, and electric tricycles.
Halilu emphasized NASENI’s role in driving Nigeria’s technological advancement and industrialization.
He highlighted the Agency’s shift towards commercialization of products and services to contribute more effectively to the national economy and achieve sustainable development goals.
He also mentioned that 85% of NASENI projects involve counterpart funding and collaboration with the private sector.
The EVC/CEO stated that 35 NASENI products are now market-ready and emphasized the importance of engaging with end-users through showrooms in all 36 states of Nigeria.
He called on the lawmakers to support NASENI in delivering capital and consumer goods to the nation and creating job opportunities for Nigerian youths.
Chairman of the House Committee on NASENI, Abimbola Ajilesoro, expressed the committee’s commitment to supporting NASENI in strengthening its legislative framework and ensuring accountability in the implementation of its programs.
He highlighted the importance of NASENI’s technologies in enhancing Nigeria’s economy and technological advancement.
Overall, the House Committee on NASENI pledged its continued support for the Agency’s mission and vision to make Nigeria an industrial hub and contribute positively to the nation’s economy.
