Nigeria’s First Lady Underscores Girld Child Education

The wife of the president, Oluremi Tinubu, has restated her commitment to improve the welbeing of the girld child in Nigeria through education.

said girls must be encouraged to have positive dreams and pursue them with vigor.

The First Lady made this known in New York while meeting with Zuriel Oduwole, founder of Dususu Foundation wich focuses on girl child advocacy, peace mediation and climate.

She indicated her willingness to firm alliances towards improving the lives of children in Nigeria, noting that education remains the main focus of the current administration in the country.

In her words, “Education gave me the opportunity to be who I am today. I remember a quote by an anonymous person that says, dream, because the dream will keep you alive and keeps you going”.

“We want to encourage girls and will continue to encourage girls in Nigeria”. Please come to Nigeria and show the girls that there is a better way of life they can emulate “.

The First Lady thanked Zuriel Oduwole for being a worthy ambassador of Nigeria and the female gender as a whole.

On her part, Oduwole noted that the best way to impact the girl child is to “show and not tell”.

Zuriel Oduwole is known for her development work across the globe, especially for girl’s education, advocacy against child marriages and peace mediation.
