Nigerian Engineers Marvel at Dangote Refinery’s Grandeur

The Nigerian engineering community has come together to praise the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, describing it as “awesome” and “mind-blowing”.

The League of engineering bodies, comprising the National Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAE), Association of Consulting Engineering in Nigeria (ACEN), and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), toured the complex and were impressed by its scale and sophistication.

The engineers commended President Aliko Dangote for his investment in Nigerian engineers and his commitment to building a world-class refinery.

The Group Vice President, Oil and Gas, Devakumar Edwin, demystified talks around the investment, stating that someone has to start a project before others follow.

The Technical Consultant to Dangote Refinery, Engr. Babajide Soyode, said that the visit of his professional colleagues made him “very proud”.
