Nigerian Breweries Plc, one of Nigeria’s leading brewing companies, has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Oriakhi as its new Sales Director, effective March 24, 2025.
This appointment was disclosed in a statement signed by the company’s Managing Director, Hans Essaadi.
Before assuming his new role, Oriakhi had been leading the Sales Function in an interim capacity since November 2024, while also serving as Marketing Director.
He will continue to oversee marketing operations until June 1, 2025, when a new Marketing Director takes over.
As Sales Director, Oriakhi will focus on driving trade execution excellence, enhancing customer experiences, and optimizing distribution efficiency and sales productivity.
Oriakhi will spearhead initiatives to build a future-ready sales workforce, deepen sales capabilities, and champion Women in Sales programs to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
He will also foster an innovation-driven culture within the sales team, positioning the company to navigate market volatility while maintaining its leadership in Nigeria’s brewing industry.
Additionally, Oriakhi will manage the reintegration of Trade Marketing and Key Accounts from Marketing back to Sales, creating a more holistic and fit-for-purpose Sales organization.
Oriakhi joined Nigerian Breweries in 2003 as a Commercial Management Trainee and has held increasingly senior roles within the company’s Commercial Function.
Notably, he led successful innovations across the portfolio, including Desperados, Zagg, Legend Twist, Goldberg Black, and Heineken 45cl.
Under his leadership, the team won the HEINEKEN Global Commercial Assertiveness Award for relaunching regional brands and stabilizing market share growth in Nigeria.
