Nigeria Customs Boss Spearheads Renewed Hope Policy, Inspects Made-in-Nigeria Vehicles

The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi, has championed the Renewed Hope Nigeria First policy by inspecting vehicles produced by members of the Nigeria Automotive Manufacturers Association (NAMA) at the Service’s headquarters in Abuja.

The CGC expressed satisfaction with the quality of the vehicles, noting that they were fully assembled in Nigeria.

He praised President Bola Tinubu’s policy initiative in the automobile industry and pledged that the Nigeria Customs Service would continue to patronize and support the sector.

The CGC’s actions were welcomed by industry stakeholders, who commended him for his unwavering support for the automobile industry.

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nord Automobile Limited, Oluwatobi Ajayi, noted that the CGC had been championing made-in-Nigeria vehicles even before the policy was announced.

Representatives from various companies, including Cedric Masters Group, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited (IVM), Mikano Motors Nigeria, and Stallion Motors Nigeria, assured the CGC of their commitment to delivering high-quality products and supporting the Nigeria Customs Service.

The event is seen as a boost to the local automobile industry, with the CGC’s support and patronage expected to drive growth and development in the sector.
