Nestlé Nigeria PLC Achieves Remarkable Financial Turnaround in Q1 2025

Nestlé Nigeria PLC has reported a significant turnaround in its financial performance for the first quarter of 2025, with a profit before tax of N51.2 billion compared to a loss of N196.1 billion in Q1 2024.

The company’s revenue grew by 61% to N294.9 billion, driven by strong operating performance. Operating profit increased by 254% to N74.1 billion, while profit after tax stood at N30.2 billion compared to a loss of N142.7 billion in the same period last year.

The CEO/Managing Director of Nestlé Nigeria PLC, Wassim Elhusseini, attributed the company’s success to its unwavering commitment to operational excellence and strong fundamentals.

He stated, “The results for Q1 2025 reflect our focused efforts yielding desired results led by a strong operating performance.”

Elhusseini emphasized that the company will remain dedicated to driving innovation and renovation to meet evolving consumer needs, enhancing margin management initiatives, and investing in community programs that deliver sustainable value to all stakeholders.

The company’s equity position improved by N30.0 billion, and its operating margins saw considerable improvement.

The result highlights Nestlé’s commitment to consistently delivering long-term value to its shareholders while navigating the challenges of the current business environment.

Nestlé Nigeria’s Q1 2025 results demonstrate a successful continuation of its return to profitability initiated in Q4 2024.
