NCC, Swedish Government Aim for Closer Collaboration to Develop Nigerian Telecommunications Sector

Dr. Aminu Maida, the Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, is dedicated to ensuring that Nigeria’s telecommunications sector meets global standards.

He has actively sought partnerships with countries worldwide to enhance the industry’s capacity.

During a recent meeting with the Swedish Ambassador to Nigeria, Her Excellency Annika Hahn-Englund, Dr. Maida discussed the ongoing collaboration between the NCC and Sweden, focusing on capacity building and skills development.

He stressed the importance of knowledge exchange, in line with the strategic plan of the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani.

Dr. Maida highlighted the opportunities for NCC staff to learn from their Swedish counterparts and implement best practices in the sector.

Ambassador Hahn-Englund reaffirmed the Swedish Embassy’s commitment to strengthening the relationship with Nigeria, emphasizing the mutual benefits of improved diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.
