NASENI, Nigeria’s National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, is gearing up to revolutionize the country’s technological landscape under the leadership of Khalil Suleiman Halilu.
Established in 1992, NASENI’s primary goal is to foster dynamic science and engineering infrastructure for national progress.
Halilu, appointed in September 2023, has brought a wealth of experience from the private sector to NASENI, giving it a new result-based orientation with market focus.
His vision is to make NASENI a central player in Nigeria’s technology revolution by adopting, adapting, and domesticating cutting-edge technologies.
In just one year, Halilu has spearheaded unprecedented collaborations with local and international partners, resulting in numerous groundbreaking agreements.
NASENI has introduced 36 market-ready products, including solar irrigation pumps, electric cars, android smartphones, and smart prepaid meters.
The agency has also established one of Nigeria’s largest CNG reverse engineering centers to promote renewable energy.
NASENI’s upcoming projects include the Renewable Industrial Park, MTS spare parts support, NASENI Holding Company, and NASENI Technologies Limited, aimed at driving economic growth, job creation, and wealth generation for Nigerians.
With Halilu at the helm, NASENI is poised to support Nigeria’s economic diversification and strengthen its position in the global technology and manufacturing landscape.
