The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has commenced a two-day strategic retreat aimed at achieving greater cohesion amongst its Development Institutes.
The retreat, which is being held in Abuja, brings together Overseeing Officers managing the institutes, Project Managers, Coordinating Directors, and some Directors from NASENI headquarters.
According to Khalil Suleiman Halilu, Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, the retreat is designed to strengthen leadership skills, achieve strategic alignment of the Development Institutes’ goals with NASENI’s overarching vision, and ensure collaborative synergies with the headquarters.
Halilu emphasized that the retreat is not merely about planning, but about creating a blueprint for action. He stressed that each participant holds a unique and pivotal role in translating NASENI’s vision into reality.
“The conversations, strategies, and commitments forged here will determine how effectively we position NASENI to lead Nigeria into a future defined by innovation, self-reliance, and technological advancement,” he said.
The retreat is expected to shift the focus of research and development (R&D) efforts towards solutions that are market-ready, innovative, and capable of generating sustainable economic values.
