The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) and the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deepen collaboration on indigenous technology development, particularly in defense, aerospace, and infrastructure.

The renewed agreement was signed on July 25, 2025, at NASENI Headquarters in Abuja.

The partnership focuses on joint research and development, local manufacturing of aerospace and defense components, human capital development, and knowledge exchange.

These areas of collaboration aim to advance Nigeria’s defense and aerospace capabilities, build capacity and expertise, and drive innovation and technological advancement.

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, commended NASENI’s transformative work under the leadership of Khalil Suleiman Halilu, particularly in reverse engineering and local manufacturing of engineering components.

The renewed MoU is designed to be more structured, result-driven, and aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
