NAMA Set to Modernize Nigeria’s Airspace Communication – Farouk

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), has secured government approval for the overhaul and modernization of the country’s airspace communication architecture.

Engr. Ahmed Umar Farouk, Managing Director of NAMA disclosed this in Abuja recently during the in-house inauguration/induction for the newly appointed Chief Executive Officers and Directors of aviation agencies.

He pledged NAMA’ s dedication to surpassing expectations, tackling challenges, and aligning with the Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope initiative and agenda.

Engr. Farouk who highlighted the pivotal role of performance bonds in advancing the aviation sector, reiterated NAMA’s commitment to enhancing communication in Nigerian airspace.

He declared an emergency on power challenges, emphasizing that the agency has secured immediate government approval for the overhaul and modernization of the country’s airspace communication architecture.

Farouk reassured the public of NAMA’s unwavering commitment to optimal performance, with a focus on benefiting the Nigerian community.

“The communication architecture of Nigerian airspace is now broadened, addressing issues that were prevalent before. We are dedicated to ensuring seamless communication between pilots and air traffic controllers.” He stated,

In response to NAMA’s request, the Federal Government has acceded to the overhaul and modernization of the communication architecture of the country’s airspace.
