The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has inaugurated four new units under its Dockworkers Branch in Delta State.
The units, located in Ifiekoro/Obeji, Sapele, Koko, and Oghara, were sworn in by the Union’s leadership, led by Comrade Francis Bunu.
The newly inaugurated units have the following leaders:
– Ifiekoro/Obeji Unit: Comrade Endurance Odongharo Bobele (Chairman) and Comrade Andy Eyifoma Omagbemi (Secretary)
– Sapele Unit: Comrade Felix Oborodowan (Chairman) and Comrade Akoko Aghogho (Secretary)
– Koko Unit: Comrade Happy Wilkie (Chairman) and Comrade Bright Dumkpemi (Secretary)
– Oghara Unit: Comrade Daniel Ayoka (Chairman) and Comrade Tanno Kingsley (Secretary)
The President of the Dockworkers Branch, Comrade Agboola Bolaji, congratulated the newly elected officers and urged them to conduct themselves in accordance with the Union’s constitution.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining the Union’s reputation and avoiding actions that could bring it into disrepute.
Comrade Bolaji noted that the inauguration of the new units marks a new era for the Union, and he urged the officers to be good ambassadors of MWUN at all times.
He expressed confidence that the new units would contribute to the growth and development of the Union.
