By Newsshelve Correspondent.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Lagos State as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the Ramadan fast.

In a statement, LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, encouraged Muslim faithful to uphold the virtues of kindness, compassion, and self-discipline exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

To enhance road safety during the festivities, LASTMA has intensified public enlightenment campaigns across motor parks and garages, sensitizing drivers to adhere to traffic regulations and educating passengers on their rights.

The agency has also established two additional Zonal Offices in Lekki and Sangotedo to monitor traffic and ensure compliance with road safety regulations.

LASTMA has deployed over 3,500 officials across the state to manage vehicular movement before, during, and after the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

Patrol and recovery vehicles will be stationed at critical points to facilitate swift intervention in cases of road obstructions, breakdowns, or emergencies.

The agency remains committed to a zero-tolerance stance against traffic violations, urging motorists to report any road obstructions, gridlocks, accidents, or emergencies via its toll-free hotline or social media platforms.
