Commissioner of Police, Lagos Command, Moshood Jimoh, has issued a stern warning to criminally-minded individuals to leave the state or face the full weight of the law.
This declaration of zero tolerance for criminality comes as the command perfects its strategy to rid the state of evil-doers and maintain a peaceful environment for residents and visitors.
Speaking at the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) Lagos Island branch annual Ramadan lecture, CP Jimoh assured that his officers and men will respect citizens’ rights while performing their duties. He also vowed to fight crimes and criminality to a standstill in the state.
The National President of IEDPU, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, expressed gratitude to CP Jimoh for attending the event and assured Lagosians that the CP’s pledges will be met with adequate security provisions.
He also appealed to Ilorin Emirate indigenes to exhibit good character and maintain the community’s reputation.
The IEDPU Chairman, Western Zone, Sulaimon Oba Ahmed, declared the organisations full support for CP Jimoh, praying for his success and rapid promotion.
Other dignitaries in attendance included the National Vice President, National Secretary, National Auditor, and National Publicity Secretary of IEDPU.
