Knowledge Transfer: LG to Train Nigerian Youths on Equipment Maintenance and Repairs

LG, the electronic giant, has exciting plans to equip Nigerian youths with the necessary skills for installing, repairing, and maintaining innovative equipment in cooling and other home and office appliances.

The Head of Marketing for West Africa Operations, LG Hari Krishna Elluru, revealed this during a recent exhibition organized by Elan Expo in Lagos.

Elluru mentioned that LG currently operates a training Academy at the University of Lagos, where students are being trained on new technologies.

Additionally, plans are in motion to open another training center for the general public by June 2024.

“We have a training Academy at the University of Lagos where students are trained on new technologies, and next month, we are planning to open one more training center for the general public.

“We have already identified the space, and by next month, it will be open,” Elluru stated.

He emphasized that LG is a leading brand with a strong presence in Nigeria, especially in the commercial air conditioning business.

The company is confident in its ability to cater to the Nigerian market with its innovative products.

Despite the challenging operating environment, LG continues to perform well and expand its business.

The company is also committed to youth empowerment and community development, with plans to construct 10 boreholes in different communities in need of water.

Saheed Adeyemi, the Sales Manager for Central Air Conditioning West Africa at LG, highlighted the company’s focus on research and development to enhance product quality.

LG is dedicated to introducing new technologies to the Nigerian market and ensuring that its products are eco-friendly and beneficial to the Nigerian economy.

LG’s initiative to train Nigerian youths in equipment maintenance and repairs is a commendable effort that will not only empower the youth but also contribute to the growth of the Nigerian economy.
