The International Maritime Institute of Nigeria (IMION), established by the Nigerian Navy, is set to host a 2-day executive course on sustainability for the Blue Economy.
The course, scheduled to take place in Lagos on May 22-23, 2025, aims to enrich participants’ knowledge on maritime security and sustainability.
IMION’s Director General, Rear Admiral Thaddeus Udofia (rtd), highlighted that the course is designed for C-suite executives who develop and influence policy formulation or design implementation strategies.
” It will cover topics such as global and regional sustainability frameworks, marine resource management strategies, community engagement for coastal resilience, and hands-on syndicate sessions for applied learning.
“The course will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Blue Economy and its sustainability challenges.” He said.
Udofia emphasized that the course is designed to meet international standards, delivered by renowned subject-matter experts.
He noted that the course will enhance the knowledge and skills of participants, enabling them to develop and implement effective policies and strategies for the Blue Economy.
By attending this course, the IMION DG assured participants that they stand to gain expertise in Blue Economy sustainability and become catalysts for change in maritime and environmental leadership.
Registration Details
The course fee is N150,000, which includes tuition, course materials, meals, field visitations, and a certificate of participation. Registration is open to individuals from government and private sectors.
