Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello and Businesses mogul, Aliko Dangote, recently declared a truce ending a long-drawn-out dispute following the Kogi State Government closure of Dangote Cement factory located in the state.
Governor Bello ordered the closure of the Cement Factory over alleged Tax Evasion and Fraud, claiming that the factory was owned by the state.
He earlier declared in a Press conference that Dangote did not own the Cement factory, adding that the transfer of the factory’s ownership to Dangote was done without the approval of the state house of Assembly.
Some people had also complained against the cement company over its alleged poor business practices in the state.
According to a report, in a meeting presided over by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Abdullahi and President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari, Dangote and Bello reconciled and shook hands apparently ending the protracted feud.
