Global Leaders and Stakeholders Commit to Driving Positive Change in Africa at ASIS 3.0

The Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) 2024, a landmark event co-convened by The Sterling One Foundation and the United Nations, brought together a diverse group of global leaders and stakeholders to address the most pressing challenges facing Africa.

The summit, held on July 25-26, 2024, emphasized the importance of collaboration across sectors and resulted in commitments to bold solutions for Africa’s future.

One of the key outcomes of the summit was the development of a resource allocation framework aimed at addressing healthcare issues across the continent.

This framework is expected to play a crucial role in improving healthcare outcomes in Africa by ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.

The summit also highlighted the crucial role of the private sector in driving innovative and sustainable solutions for Africa’s future.

Speakers, including United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of The Sterling One Foundation, and Abubakar Suleiman, CEO of Sterling Bank, stressed the need for collaboration, information, trust, and efficient allocation of resources to tackle issues ranging from healthcare to climate resilience.

In addition to the keynote addresses, the summit featured an Investor Roundtable, a “Bold Actions Meeting” on healthcare challenges, and a panel discussion on the economic empowerment of displaced persons.

These sessions provided a platform for attendees to share their expertise, experiences, and ideas on how to address some of Africa’s most pressing challenges.

Attendees committed to actionable plans, including the development of a resource allocation framework and initiatives to integrate displaced persons into the workforce.

These commitments demonstrate the power of collaboration and the importance of public-private partnerships in driving sustainable development in Africa.

The impact of ASIS 2024 will be felt through the tangible commitments made and the new partnerships formed to address healthcare, climate resilience, and economic empowerment.

The summit demonstrated that by working together, global leaders and stakeholders can drive positive change and create a brighter future for Africa.
