Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBL) has expressed interest in collaborating with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in critical areas such as cloud storage, secured internet connectivity, data backup, and cybersecurity infrastructure.
GBL made this know when a delegation, led by Ifeatu Anafulu, Head of Marketing and Business Intelligence recently paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network Service (NCBN) at the (NCS) Headquarters in Abuja recently.
Anafulu noted that the company’s mandate aligns with the NCS’s digital transformation agenda.
Assistant Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, who received the GBL delegation, highlighted the NCS’s comprehensive technological revolution anchored on the Trade Modernisation Project, which includes the deployment of the B’Odogwu Unified Customs Management System (UCMS).
He emphasized the importance of partnerships with ICT providers like Galaxy Backbone in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of Customs’ digital infrastructure.
The two parties discussed potential areas of collaboration, including secure data storage, platform hosting, and high-speed connectivity for the NCBN.
The visit concluded with a tour of the NCBN facilities, where the team was shown the studio’s broadcast, editing, and production capabilities.
The NCS and Galaxy Backbone expressed optimism about potential future partnerships that could strengthen the NCBN’s technical capacity and outreach capabilities, enhancing public awareness and stakeholder engagement.
