The family of the late Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, a former member of the Nigeria’s House of Representatives, has announced his burial arrangements.
Dr. Ojougboh passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 64, and will be laid to rest on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Ojougboh Family Compound in Agbor, Delta State.
The burial proceedings will commence with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church along Old Lagos/Asaba Road, Agbor. Following the Mass, a reception will be held at the Open Ground, Opposite Central Hospital, Agbor.
Prior to the interment, there will be a Requiem Mass on Thursday, April 16, 2024, at the Church for The Assumption, Asokoro, Abuja, and a Vigil Mass on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at All Saints Catholic Church, Alihame, Agbor, Delta State.
A Christian Wake will also be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Ojougboh Family Compound, Alihame, Agbor.
The burial activities will conclude with a Thanksgiving Mass on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at All Saints Catholic Church, Alihame, Agbor.
Dr. Cairo Ojougboh represented Ika Federal Constituency of Delta State in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007 and was a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State.
He also served as the Executive Director Project of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Dr. Ojougboh was a respected figure in Delta State, known for his contributions to the development of the state and the nation. He was a fearless and outspoken politician who worked tirelessly for the public good.
