Former Ekiti Governorship Candidate Ready to Contribute To Societal Wellbeing

A former candidate in the 2022 governorship election in Ekiti State, on the platform of the All People’s Party (APP), Prince Adeyinka Alli, has pledged to continue to contribute his quota to the wellbeing of the society.

Prince Alli, a philanthropist and Founder, Pince Adeyinka Alli Foundation (PAAF), made the pledge at the graduation of over one hundred students of Ekiti Metropolitan College of Management and Technology in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

He urged the graduating students to have a positive mindset of having things done, now that they have the tools and what it takes as well as practice all that they have learnt “There are a lot of things that we can do that can better our lot.

“We don’t have to wait for government or other entities for jobs. It is very possible that this our State which we refer to as a poor State will turn around to be the richest State in this country.

“What I say is your mindset. If you work on your mindset, there is absolutely nothing you cannot achieve. I am saying that everyone here seated, graduating today, you are the fortune of Ekiti. Go out there and volunteer, they may not pay you for job, but do it” Alli said.

The Founder of PAAF also reminded the graduating students of the two months skills acquisition training of the Foundation. “From enrolment to learning courses you had no earlier understanding of putting into practice the skills you learn, but your perseverance has brought you to this amazing destination

“However, this is not the end of the road for you. This is only the beginning of a new chapter. A chapter that will usher you into greatness once you make good use of the new skills you have acquired”.

The Provost of the Ekiti Metropolitan College of Management and Technology, Dr. Godwyins Agbude encouraged the students to apply what they gained in their different fields to useful areas of human endeavour, rather than seeking for jobs. He stressed that knowledge is better when it is put into practice. “Don’t wait until you get a paid work”.

Chairman of the occasion, a former governor of Ekiti State, and governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in the 2022 Ekiti governorship election, Segun Oni advised the graduating students to embrace the opportunity and chart a promising future for themselves.

Oni who was represented by Bamisile Oluwole appreciated the management of the institution for running programmes that will put the youths in a better stead to carve a niche for themselves in this era of growing unemployment.

Some of the students appreciated God for seeing them through the programme and the management of the school for all that were imparted to them as a way of preparing a bright future for them.

The students were trained in various fields including: graphics design, web development, photography, cinematography, sound recording, journalism and broadcasting, effects make-up, film editing and script writing among others
