Fidelity Bank Upskills 1,276 Women in Digital and Artificial Intelligence

Fidelity Bank Plc, in partnership with ImpactHER, has successfully trained 1,276 women entrepreneurs in digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills.

The free training, held from August 19 to 23, 2024, aimed to empower women with relevant entrepreneurship skills to drive economic growth.

According to Osita Ede, Divisional Head, Product Development at Fidelity Bank Plc, women-led small businesses account for over 40% of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria, highlighting the critical role female entrepreneurs play in driving economic growth.

The online training covered topics such as email marketing, AI for content creation, and branding and positioning.

Efe Ukala, Founder of ImpactHER, emphasized the importance of equipping African women with digital skills to scale their businesses and drive economic growth.

Participants praised the program’s practical approach and immediate applicability of the skills learned. This initiative brings the total number of women entrepreneurs trained under the partnership to 5,719.

Fidelity Bank, ranked as one of the best banks in Nigeria, has won multiple local and international awards for its commitment to empowering small businesses and promoting economic growth.
