The Executive Council of Nigeria Youth Alliance (NYA) has commended the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, for his efforts at transforming the State through the provision of infrastructure, education, human development, youth empowerment, agriculture and other development programs.
In an open letter of appreciation to the Governor, the NYA also praised Dr. Fayemi for the economic growth of the State which has helped in mitigating the adverse consequences of COVID-19 in the state
The letter read in part: “Your Excellency sir, you have stood up for what is right by building young leaders that can pilot the affairs our dearest state. It is high time to up the game more by giving us a creative, intellectual, vibrant and competent youth like Hon. Makinde Araoye who has proved his competence, charisma, leadership, political capacity and commitment to the Omoluabi tendencies you represent, to continue to build on your legacy of good governance.Q”
“It will be very interesting and a great precedence to see a young, vibrant and brilliant governor as your successor. This will set a new standard for political leadership in the country and become the template for other state to relinquish more political power to the youth. We want your good work to continue not only at the state level but at the federal level.”
The Youths Association described the Governor as a “courageous man, who can toe the less popular but right path,” while while expressing confidence in his ability to deliver they also prayed God to uplift the Governor Fayemi to greater political height and use him to rescue the country.
