The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has emerged as both the overall winner and third runner-up at the 2025 Federal Public Service Innovation Competition.
The Corporation’s winning entries, Carpooling Team and Perfoma, showcased innovative digital solutions that earned them a total of N8 million in prize money.
The Carpooling Team developed a digital carpooling application that acts as a rideshare platform, aimed at reducing commuting costs for federal workers. This solution earned them the top prize of N5 million.
The Perfoma team developed an innovative digital platform that enhances staff productivity and streamlines administrative processes.
This convenient online secretariat facilitates document creation, tracking, and task implementation, earning them N3 million.
The NDIC’s Managing Director/Chief Executive, Bello Hassan, lauded the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation for sustaining the innovation tradition.
He commended the NDIC teams for their groundbreaking achievements, underlining the Corporation’s commitment to excellence and problem-solving.
The NDIC’s success in the competition reflects its strategic alignment with national priorities on public service reform, digital transformation, and cost-effective governance.
