Dangote Grants N15bn to University, Offers Jobs to Best Graduates

Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Industries Limited and Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), has announced a N15 billion donation to the institution.

The funds will support various projects, including the construction of student hostels, engineering labs, and a multipurpose computer lab.

The projects to be funded include the design and construction of additional student hostels, a world-class Engineering Lab, and a world-class multipurpose computer lab with 24-hour internet access.

The donation will also support the installation of a mini-solar plant to support access to power on campus and the design and construction of a befitting Senate building.

Dangote also announced that the best-performing graduates in Engineering and related courses will be offered automatic jobs at Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemical Plant and Dangote Cement Plants after their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.

The billionaire philanthropist has previously supported the university by offsetting its electricity bill, building hostels, and providing a 33KVA power line and transformers.

The announcement was made during the 5th convocation ceremony of ADUSTECH, where over 18,000 students were celebrated for their graduation.

Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf of Kano State commended Dangote for his contributions to the university’s development.

Four notable individuals, including business mogul Arthur Eze and oil magnate Al-Mustapha Ado, received honorary doctorate degrees during the ceremony.
