CSCS Introduces Custodian Portal to Boost Capital Market Services

The Central Securities Clearing System Plc (CSCS), Nigeria’s premier capital market infrastructure, has launched its Custodian Portal, a digital solution designed to optimize custodian operations.

The portal offers a range of features, including comprehensive portfolio and trade management, document tracking, share transfer operations, client symbol search, and real-time access to vital data.

The portal operates on a flexible subscription-based model, allowing users to manage their records effortlessly and securely through convenient payment channels like GTPay and Paystack.

The MD/CEO of CSCS, Haruna Jalo-Waziri said “Digital transformation remains at the core of our strategy to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of Nigeria’s capital market services.

“The Custodian Portal is a significant leap in that direction, offering custodians a centralized platform to manage critical processes in real-time.”

The Custodian Portal is designed with user experience in mind and features best-of-breed cybersecurity solutions and a secure connection to the market-wide workflow.

The platform is part of an omnichannel platform for custodians, which includes API services.

The launch of the Custodian Portal marks a significant milestone in CSCS’s ongoing drive to enhance collaboration, standardize operational processes, and promote digital adoption across the market.

All custodians in the Nigerian capital market have been successfully onboarded on the Custodian Portal.

The CSCS is a Public Limited Company that serves as the Central Securities Depository for the Nigerian Capital Market.

With over two decades of operation, CSCS has been pivotal to the growth and transformation of the capital market.
