COWA Supports Vulnerable Communities with Relief Materials in Kebbi, Inaugurates Secretariat 

The Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA) has marked a significant milestone in Kebbi State with the inauguration of its newly established secretariat.

The event, which took place recently, was attended by the wife of the Kebbi State Governor, Nafisa Nasir Idris, and marked a major achievement for COWA in the state.

During the ceremony, COWA National President, Kikelomo Adeniyi, and Idris distributed relief materials to dozens of orphans and widows of fallen Customs officers.

The gesture highlights COWA’s commitment to supporting vulnerable members of the Customs family and the broader community.

The COWA National President expressed her profound gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, for his unwavering support in advancing COWA’s mission and vision.

She also acknowledged the efforts of the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller CC Nwokorie, for making the event a success.

The wife of the Kebbi State Governor welcomed Adeniyi to the state and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting orphans and widows, aligning with the current administration’s social welfare agenda.

Comptroller Nwokorie highlighted the significance of the event, noting that it marked a major milestone for COWA in Kebbi State, which had been lacking since the creation of the Kebbi Area Command in 2019.
