Corporate Social Responsibility: Fidelity Bank Renovates Primary Health Facility in Nasarawa, Provides Clean Water

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Fidelity Bank Plc, a leading financial institution, has undertaken the renovation of the Primary Healthcare Clinic located in the Workers Village of Tudun Amba Community in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Additionally, the bank has provided water facilities to address the water scarcity issues faced by the community.

During the inauguration ceremony, Meksley Nwagboh, the Divisional Head of Brand and Communication at Fidelity Bank, emphasized the shared responsibility of upholding the dignity of every individual.

The bank initiated this project to enhance the living conditions of the community members and fulfill its social responsibility towards the host community.

Nwagboh expressed gratitude to the community leadership for entrusting the bank with the project, stating, “Our actions today align with our longstanding commitment to positively impact communities nationwide.

As a socially responsible organization, we strive to bring about positive change through developmental projects like this one.”

The Commissioner of Health for Nasarawa State, Gaza Gwamna, commended Fidelity Bank for its contributions towards improving the healthcare facility and providing clean water.

He reiterated the state government’s support for commercial banks to stimulate the state’s economy.

Representing the Commissioner, John Damina, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, urged the Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency to ensure the proper maintenance of the upgraded facility.

This, he emphasized, would encourage continued support from private investors for the less-privileged individuals in the state.
