CFN President Bags Fellowship Award Of Certified Institute Of Sport Management

The National President, Cycling Federation of Nigeria (CFN), and President, African Cycling Confederation, Marketing Development, Engr. Giandomenico Massari, has been elected as a distinguished fellow of the prestigious Certified Institute of Sports Management of Nigeria.

A notification letter signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Council, Certified Institute of Sports Management of Nigeria, Dr. Stanley Ihedigbo (FCISM), stated that the award was bestowed in recognition of Massari’s noble leadership qualities, contributions to the promotion and development of sports in Nigeria, as an administrator of Cycling Federation of Nigeria, as well as his youth empowerment programmes across the country.

In his words: “We have the honour and pleasure to inform you that the Governing Council of our great Institute, under the leadership of Dr. Segun Atho (FCISM), had accepted the recommendation of the Award Committee to elect you as Distinguished Fellow of the Certified Institute of Sports Management of Nigeria, in accordance with the objectives of the institute to reward hard work and leadership commitment in the country.

Ihedigbo further stated that the Institute was inspired and motivated by CFN boss   leadership qualities and selfless drive for competence and achievements as an astute administrator in the sports industry.

He noted that the distinguished fellow status is reserved for accomplished professionals at a high-level position in the sports profession, and hope that Massari will continue to participate in the Institute’s activities to achieve a distinct image of professionalism and growth in sports management in Nigeria.

In his remarks, Massari said Nigeria is the best in the cycling sports in Africa and has the potential to lead in the world adding that CFN is working hard to ensure that Nigeria continues to position itself for optimal benefits from international cycling competitions.

The CFN boss further added that they are willing and ready to partner with the institute, as it is very crucial to the growth of the sports industry in Nigeria.

He dedicated the award to all the stakeholders working together to enhance the quality of sports management in Nigeria and the executive members of CFN as well as the athletes.

The Certified Institute of Sports Management of Nigeria is an organization for the development and management of human capacity in sporting activities in the country. The Institute also seeks to professionalise sports management and create dynamism in sporting activities in line with global trends, as well as to raise and build professional capacities in enhancing sports opportunities across the country and beyond.
