The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Akwa Ibom State Branch, has extended its heartfelt condolences to Governor Umo Bassey Eno of Akwa Ibom State over the painful loss of his beloved wife, Dr. Patience Umo Eno.
In a statement signed by Comrade Ndifreke Afangide, State Chairman of CDHR, Akwa Ibom State Branch, the organization expressed its deepest sympathy to the governor and his family during this difficult time.
The CDHR prayed for God’s peace and comfort to be the governor’s strength, adding that time would heal all wounds, and that he would find solace in the memories of his loved one.
The organization drew strength from the words of Psalm 30:5, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” The CDHR prayed that the morning of joy and cherished memories would soon dawn on the governor’s heart.
The CDHR acknowledged the late Dr. Patience Umo Eno’s legacy of love, service, and dedication to the people of Akwa Ibom State, stating that her impact would continue to inspire and uplift countless lives.
The organization shared in the governor’s grief and offered its deepest condolences. The CDHR’s condolence message was also endorsed by the national body and the Board of Trustees, led by Barr. Femi Falana SAN.
The Civil Rights organisation called on the people of Akwa Ibom State to stand with the governor during this difficult time, and to pray for God’s comfort and strength to be with him and his family.
