Bullion Go-Neat CEO Ambassador Ajadi Urges Government to Empower Nigerian Youths

Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, CEO of Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited, has reiterated the need for the government to empower Nigerian youths, citing their immense potential waiting to be tapped.

During an interactive session with Commerce & Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN) delegation, Ambassador Ajadi emphasized that Nigerian youths, like their global counterparts, possess huge potential that can be harnessed to boost productivity, add value, and reduce crime.

Ajadi decried the economic pressures Nigerians have faced in recent months, with skyrocketing prices and stagnant salaries.

He warned that this is unsustainable for an economy with a significant youth population.

As a chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun State and its flag bearer in the last general election, Ajadi urged the federal government to take immediate action.

Ajadi described Nigerian youths as energetic and capable of driving improved agriculture and industrial revolution.

He suggested setting up farm settlements and agriculture production centers nationwide, supported by take-off funds and close monitoring.

Ajadi also proposed making technical colleges and polytechnics more practical and equipped to fabricate machines for local production.

This, he believes, would enable these institutions to serve as industrial starter points.

Fortunately, the federal government has already taken steps to empower Nigerian youths through initiatives like the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF).

With an initial seed capital of N110 billion, NYIF aims to improve access to finance for youths and youth-owned enterprises, generating employment opportunities and promoting socio-economic development.

Other notable youth empowerment programs in Nigeria include: Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS) Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Program and Npower among others.

These programs demonstrate the government’s commitment to empowering Nigerian youths.

However, more needs to be done to address the pressing issues of unemployment and economic stagnation.

Ambassador Ajadi’s call to action emphasizes the urgent need for the government to harness the potential of Nigerian youths.

By providing the necessary support and resources, Nigeria can unlock its youth potential and drive sustainable growth and development.
