Africa’s leading civic-tech organization, BudgIT, and renowned civil society organization, Enough is Enough Nigeria, are teaming up to host the Technology, New Media, Citizens, and Governance (TNCG) Conference.
This year’s theme, “Technology: The Present and Future of Political Action in Africa,” reflects the growing impact of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, on governance.
Scheduled for November in Lagos, Nigeria, the conference will bring together policymakers, private sector leaders, academics, students, and civil society actors.
They will explore how technology and new media are transforming Africa’s governance landscape and share best practices in leveraging technology for activism and reform.

The conference will feature a keynote address by Professor Yemi Osinbajo, former Vice President of Nigeria.
Other confirmed speakers include Ousman Kallay from iLAB Liberia, Mutemi Wa Kiama from Africans Rising Movement, Iyinoluwa Ayobeji from Futures Africa, and Abiola Durodola from AdvoKC.
The event will delve into innovative ways to enhance citizen engagement and governmental accountability through technology, fostering a collaborative environment for meaningful discussions and partnerships.
