ARSO Trade Exhibition Presents Unique Opportunity for Local Manufacturers and Producers in Nigeria – SON

The Director General of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Dr. Ifeanyi Okeke, is urging manufacturers and investors to take advantage of the upcoming Africa Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO) trade exhibition to raise awareness and boost exports.

Okeke emphasized that the ARSO 2024 Trade Expo will provide a unique platform for local manufacturers and producers in Nigeria to showcase their products.

The event is set to coincide with ARSO’s 30th General Assembly, scheduled to take place from 17 to 22 June, 2024 at the International Hotel in Abuja.

“The Made-in-Africa Expo aims to highlight African products,” Okeke stated. He encouraged both large and small firms to participate in the event to engage with industry experts and discuss quality assurance and commerce.

As the host of the event, Okeke believes that showcasing Nigerian products at the exhibition will enhance confidence in the local market and attract attention from both Africa and the rest of the world.

The event, scheduled for July in Abuja, will feature a diverse range of local manufacturers and producers.

The trade exhibition is expected to stimulate economic growth for domestic stakeholders and international visitors alike.

Okeke highlighted the benefits of participating in the event, including networking opportunities, exposure to international markets, and compliance with ARSO standards for enhanced product credibility.

Visitors attending the ARSO General Assembly in Nigeria will have the chance to explore the country’s vibrant market firsthand.

The exhibition will showcase Nigeria’s economic landscape, from traditional crafts to modern technologies, offering insights into emerging trends and investment prospects.

By engaging with local manufacturers and producers, visitors can gain a deeper appreciation of Nigeria’s cultural heritage, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to excellence.

The exhibition will complement discussions at the General Assembly, demonstrating the importance of standardization in driving economic development and regional integration.

Overall, the synergy between the exhibition and the General Assembly is expected to drive transformative change, propelling Nigeria and Africa towards sustainable growth and prosperity.
