The Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has recorded a remarkable revenue collection of ₦215 billion in August 2025 using the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), also known as B’Odogwu.
This feat was achieved despite reported network glitches, showcasing the resilience and efficiency of the system.
The Customs Area Controller, Babatunde Olomu, attributed the impressive collection to increased confidence and continuous improvement of the B’Odogwu system.
He thanked stakeholders and officers for their unwavering support, stating that the system’s success is a testament to the officers’ patriotism and dedication.
Olomu reassured importers, exporters, licensed customs agents, and freight forwarders that B’Odogwu is poised for greater success, citing the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi’s, directive for invigorated service from the ICT/Modernisation Department to ensure steady improvement in service delivery.
Olomu emphasized that the system’s progress is a collective victory, stating, “Our collection of ₦215 billion using the B’Odogwu platform confirms progress in our ongoing journey to build a dependable platform for trade by Nigerians and for all those doing import, export, and excise business in Nigeria.”
He concluded, “We are braving all odds, and the sky is our limit”.
