AMJON Felicitates with Nigeria Customs Service Chief on WCO Chairperson Election

The Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON) has congratulated the Controller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on his election as Chairperson of the World Customs Organisation (WCO).

In a statement signed by AMJON President Kelvin Kagbare, the association noted that Adeniyi’s election is a testament to his exceptional leadership and dedication to the NCS.

AMJON highlighted Adeniyi’s achievements as NCS Controller General, including facilitating trade, achieving astronomical revenue generation, improving staff welfare, and strengthening the country’s border security.

The association affirmed that Adeniyi’s commitment to modernising the Customs administration and enhancing maritime trade has earned him this global appointment.

The association thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for believing in Adeniyi and the WCO leaders for electing him to this position.
